Windows 7 Stuck up on first Startup Screen.

Hi, I had the same problem, what I did - I removed the laptop's SATA hard drive and connected it to my desktop computer, erased everything that was on it, installed it back to my laptop, and installed windows vista. For some reason windows 7 doesn't work on my laptop either. If you don't have a sata hd, then you need an adapter to connect the laptop's hard drive to your desktop pc.

Hi erki, i sent the laptop to them 2 weeks ago and they are apparently replacing the motherboard and the hard drive... (just called them). I plugged my hard drive into my other laptop as it would not fit into my desktop. Wiped everything and put it back into my laptop and it still would not run. I would of tried to restore it back to windows vista but i did a complete install and wiped everything on the hard drive un-aware of the acer backup sections ( stupid of me ). I'm having to wait for spare parts for the laptop at the moment so still waiting. Thanks for the advice anyway mate and taking the time to create and account also ! Do you have the same acer laptop ?

With my laptop windows 7 worked on it perfectly until this problem arose out of thin air. Re-booted and it broke... So once i get the laptop again i will re-install windows 7 upgrade not complete and see what happens.

I don't have the same laptop, mine is Asus F3. And I didn´t even get to see Win7, the problem occured when I tried to install it (installed about half of it, up to the first reboot), so i guess your problem wasn't because of software. But the symptoms were the same - stuck at the first boot screen (Asus, intel).

Well i guessed that something to do with the Bios corrupted etc with mine, it could be the same with yours? But as acer are apparently replacing my motherboard and hard drive, i have no idea.
