By your specs, that is not a very powerful machine.

It's not a very powerful machine. It was built in 2014, and it's only purpose is for interacting with what is called a test standard, and the only purpose of this equipment is to test the accuracy of electric utility metering. It's accuracy is .002%.

I've gotten another email from the manufacturer, it's going in for an RMA. I'm probably never going to know the exact outcome, unless it is a particular component that's going south.

And I know what you mean about trying to pull stuff out of the CBS log. It does show that it made quite a few repairs when I ran it. Worst part is the hard drive went in, set up updated the system, and then 36 system updates for Windows were installed. It's only been booted four or five times with the new SSD, and it's already found that many errors.

It's time to go in for repair.

Yes, I read and reread you previous posts.

If you run SFCFix.exe or AutoSURT whatever your machine is, the latter is more comprehensive, is a larger download and slower than SFCFix.exe.
I try to provide OPs with missing cat/mum pairs, and manifests. I have a 300,000+ repository of repair files. Yes it took a long time to download the the KBs, extract the contents and copy them to my repository.
winsxs is a protected system folder, you cannot copy and paste to it. It is not recommended that you use a 3rd party app to take permission from Trusted Installer and then return it when the replacement are complete. That is part of the function of SURT.
If you peruse the links I provided you will ascertain the intricacies of that process, well..., some of them anyway! Yes, I have automated tools to perform those tasks.

Thanks for the info. Figures it's not quite that easy. I've got my RMA so it's going to get shipped out in a couple of days and sent back to the manufacturer. I kind of had the feeling that the hard drive itself was not the issue, but I've pretty much ruled that out now so. As far as whatever is going on I've got ideas but none of my tests are telling me anything so we'll just let them figure it out.

It's been a while but I would like to post an update and make a request.

Since replacing the corrupted cat/num file pair and successfully applying available OS updates the equipment has been running much better. The original SSD is in the unit and physically is error free. I have successfully completed 50 +/- tests and been through 35 - 40 boot cycles without issue. Previously I could get no more than 5 or 6.

Thank You again for the assistance, made life much easier over doing it the "hard way". Lol

For my request may I have access to download AutoSURT64 one more time? The flash drive I saved it on crapped out and I have no other copy of that awesome repair tool.
