I have downloaded IE 9 Beta from the Softpedia link but haven't installed it yet. Looking at the properties for the downloaded files shows a Product Version of 9.0.7930.16406. Isn't that an older build?

Thats what I thought, just wanted someone to confirm that for me.
I believe I tried that build already and it stopped working for me after a short time. I ended up un-installing it. For some reason IE 9 beta doesn't play well with my system. I've tried two or three builds and they crap out after a while. I'm going to be doing a clean install sometime after Christmas and likely try again with the latest and greatest build. I might even wait for the final release depending on what the release date ends up being.

I have just downloaded the one from Yowan's link above, and it shows this version No.



- is this now superceded by the MSUpdates version..??..??

- first attempt at overwriting the "Yowanvista version" failed
- is this because it's in fact a further update on the MS one..??

OK, I'll rephrase - what's the version no. of the MSUpdate issue..??

The update I got from Windows Update is installed, yet IE9 still displays the old build version. Weird... though I can certainly see improvements.

Same happens to me. Check the previous page, yowan posted a download link for the leaked version...

Just installed it, I can see that the Favorites menu has been reworked a bit, the tabs look different. There are improvements certainly.

told me one question how many feedback tool do you have on you programs on control panel beacuse i have 2 , the first feedback tool and today on new version install another feedback tool , so that no replace the feedback tool maybe that happened on IE9 no replace and that the reason show the old version

Probably not, the build should be automatically updated

before this update i had a right click context menue issue asosiated, now thats fixed.
What used to happen was that if i would open ie9 up, it would hang at a white page, then i would close it, and run it again, this time almost flawlessly, but then i got transparent context menues that would freez on the screen.
Now thats fixed!
