From Win7, install EasyBCD 2.0 beta and add XP to Dual Boot menu. If it says it is added, then remove it and add again. It will ask to load boot files when you click Add OS, so say OK, then highlight XP above and Save. EasyBCD 2.0 Beta Builds - The NeoSmart Forums

Also i have to keep switching that thing in the bios for the bluescreen. FROM compatability to ATA ATA for 7 to work without bluescreen and Comp for xp to work with out bluescreen.

Did you install XP with your SATA controller in a different mode? If so, you may be able to get by with an XP repair install while the SATA controller is set to the same setting which is working for Win7.

Otherwise XP will need to be reinstalled.

This will afterward require adding Win7 back to the Dual Boot using EasyBCD which requires Net Framework 2.0 to run in XP.

You can't play any 3D accelerated games on it. It's there for old programs that requires XP but doesn't need hardware acceleration.

Thats what i kind of need it for its for a program called Flash 2 its where you re program cars and you need to have an xp laptop.

I just need to know how i would install software onto a cd from it.

Don't delete your partition yet, install XP Mode first, see if that works for your software, THEN decide if you should delete your partition or not.

Yes I would like that walk threw I will let you know when i have virtual xp setup on the laptop. Even better if you wanna use team viewer to do it or guide me that way as well so i will also know for future references.

Also can this be done on a levono SL410 Its telling me to enable something in the bios but i dont know what they want me to enable.

Quick question is there any down fall to enabling your cpu to be able to work virtulization mode?

Also how do i get internet acess to the internet from virtual xp. Do i need to download the ethernet driver?

XP Mode uses a Virtual Harddisk, you don't need to create a specific partition for it. If you install a piece of software in XP Mode, it will be available in XP Mode's start menu, and 7's under "Windows Virtual PC -> Windows XP Mode Applications", and no, it's not running under 7. I use XP Mode as a development server, it ran perfectly fine so far. XP Mode has yet to crash on me...

Alright im going to give it a go tomorrow or the next day ill let you know how it turns out. Just so im clear.

I load of virtual xp, pop in the cd, install it from virtual xp add the shortcut to the start manager so i can acess it with out having the to access it inside the other window of xp.

When you install XP mode, it installs a "new computer" in your Windows 7, it's not your old XP, it's a new XP, plain vanilla XP from Microsoft, comes prepacked and already activated. So... I suggest you install it, and play around a bit in it, install firefox, install flash, watch youtube, etc. Then after you know what is XP mode, we can continue our discussion.
